About
Helen Hagemann lives in Perth WA and holds a Masters in Writing from Edith Cowan University. Her work is
published in Australian literary journals including Westerly, Cordite
Poetry Review (2014) and Southerly (2014). In 2004, she won an Australian Society of Authors Poetry mentorship, studying with Jean Kent, a NSW poet. In 2008, Hagemann won a Macquarie /Varuna
Longlines Poetry scholarship resulting in the publication of her chapbook Evangelyne & Other Poems in the New Poets Series, 2009 by Australian Poetry Melbourne.
Helen has taught prose and poetry classes in
Fremantle in association with the OOTA Writers Group. In 2011, she spent
time in a residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, in Ireland, working
on poetry and a novel. Helen's full collection is of Arc & Shadow
published by Sunline Press, Cottesloe WA (2013). Currently, she is writing a
children's collection titled "Miniscule" - inspired by the French TV
series Minuscule, and a collection of prose poetry titled Bounty. is published by Oz.one Publishing (2024). Her two novels The Last Asbestos Town & The Ozone
Café are now 2nd Editions, previously published in New York.The Five Lives of Ms Bennett is the result of her Masters degree (2006) and is published in 2023, by Oz.one Publishing. Her literary articles, poetry, essays
